Maternal Health is an orphan prevention strategy
About HCW
Reports, accountability, and stewardship.
900 million children live in multidimensional poverty, without adequate water, food, shelter, safety, or healthcare.
50% of children in Sub-saharan Africa live in households surviving on less than $3 a day. 412 million of the world's children (20%) live in extreme poverty.
Poverty during childhood equals lifelong issues - poor health, shorter lifespans, and reduced opportunities that transmit poverty to the next generation.
Progress in ending poverty has stalled due to rising conflict, climate change, and global funding cuts.

Nearly 100 of the students enrolled in our programs, including most of the residential students, attend UMC Njagboima, a big school that includes primary through senior secondary grades. This past week, the entire school has been competing in the annual track and field competition, including 100 meter and 200 meter dash, high jump, and long jump, with different “houses” dressed in primary colors and vying for the top prizes. The preschoolers will have their own competition on Saturday and even the CRC staff plan to join in!
